In a webinar a couple months ago, while talking about motivation, I recommended Lodro Rinzler’s first book, The Buddha Walks Into a Bar.
I was enjoying the book, but had some questions for Lodro — specifically about recommendations that involved characteristically Buddhist (?) but stereotypically feminine behaviors. If you’re going to put compassion at the center of your mandala, so to speak, perhaps that would be striking and interesting when practiced by people with a certain amount of privilege, but perhaps that would lead to getting taken advantage of if you’re a member of a group that often gets taken advantage of.
Lodro was kind enough to speak with me on video (I’ll let him speak for himself on the above question), and it turned out that he actually had a new book coming out (available now), one even more apropos to my own mission. Hear more about it in the video.
